  • 1. From the home screen, tap the App Launcher
  • 2. Tap BBM
  • 3. Tap Sign In
    BBM requires a BlackBerry ID. If you don’t have one, enter your name, email address and a password and then tap Create Account
  • 4. Enter the email address associated with your BlackBerry ID and then tap Password
  • 5. Enter your password and then tap Done
  • 6. To add a contact, tap the Contacts icon
  • 7. Tap the Add Contact icon
  • 8. Tap how you would like to send an invitation. We will select Add by Barcode Scan
  • 9. On your contact’s device, tap Scan Barcode
  • 10. Hold your phone above theirs so that their barcode is visible in your camera’s viewfinder
  • 11. The contact will be added
  • 12. To send a message, tap the contact you wish to send the message to
  • 13. Enter the text of your message and then tap the Send icon
