  • 1. On your computer, open BlackBerry Blend
  • 2. Select whether you would like to connect to your phone via USB cable or via a wireless connection. If you choose USB, you must attach a USB cable to your phone and to your computer. In this example, we will select USB Cable Connection
  • 3. Click inside the Username field
  • 4. Enter your BlackBerry ID email address
  • 5. Click inside the Password field
  • 6. Enter your password and then click Sign In
  • 7. If the passkey shown on your computer matches the one shown on your phone, tap Yes on your phone
  • 8. Click Yes on your computer
  • 9. A selection of features from your phone will be displayed
  • 10. The Hub shows any messages and conversations on your phone. Click Email, BBM or SMS to open the messages. In this example, we will select SMS
  • 11. Click on a message to read it
  • 12. To reply to the message, click inside the text entry field
  • 13. Enter the text of your reply and then click Send
  • 14. Click the Home icon to return to the main screen
  • 15. The calendar shows any current events. Click an event to view more details
  • 16. The details of the event will be displayed
  • 17. Click the Home icon to return to the main screen
  • 18. To transfer files from your phone, click File Manager
  • 19. Click the type of file you wish to transfer. In this example, we will select Camera
  • 20. Right-click on the file you wish to transfer
  • 21. Click Save As
  • 22. Click Save
  • 23. Click the Home icon to return to the main screen
  • 24. To disconnect your phone, click the Settings icon
  • 25. Click Disconnect
