Using the Set Up Assistant

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake Button to turn the phone on

Press the Home Button
- 3.
Tap your desired language
- 4.
Select your country or region
- 5.
If you have another iPhone or iPad running iOS 11 you would like to transfer settings from, hold it near to your new phone. The settings will transfer across

If you don’t have another iPhone, tap Set Up Manually
- 7.
Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to
- 8.
If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Join
- 9.
Tap Next
- 10.
You can use your fingerprints to secure your phone and make purchases. To set up your fingerprint, place a finger or thumb on the Home Button
- 11.
Continue to lift and replace your finger on the Home Button until the entire fingerprint is filled in
- 12.
Tap Continue
- 13.
Adjust your grip and then place the same finger or thumb on the Home Button until the entire fingerprint is filled in
- 14.
Tap Continue
- 15.
Enter a passcode. This will be used in the event that Touch ID can’t verify your fingerprint or additional verification is required

Re-enter the passcode
- 17.
Select if you would like to restore data from a different phone or account. In this example, we will select Set Up as New iPhone
- 18.
Tap the Apple ID field
- 19.
Enter your Apple ID and then tap Return
- 20.
Enter your password and then tap Next
- 21.
Tap Agree
- 22.
Tap Enable Location Services
- 23.
If you would like to set up Apple Pay, place your credit or debit card so that the outline surrounds it. Otherwise tap Set Up Later in Wallet

If you would like to store passwords and credit card details in iCloud Keychain, tap Continue
- 25.
Enter your passcode
- 26.
If you would like to activate Siri, tap Continue
- 27.
Say Hey Siri
- 28.
Follow the instructions until the Siri set up is complete and then tap Continue
- 29.
Select whether or not you would like to share diagnostic information with Apple. We will select Share with Apple
- 30.
Select whether or not you would like to share diagnostic information with app developers. We will select Share with App Developers
- 31.
Tap Choose a View
- 32.
Select the zoom view you would like to use and then tap Next
- 33.
Tap Get Started
