Importing Music from a Mac (MacOS 10.14 or earlier)

These steps demonstrate how to transfer music to your iPhone from a Mac running MacOS Mojave (Version 10.14 or earlier). You can discover which version of MacOS your computer is running by clicking the Apple icon in the Menu Bar and then selecting About This Mac

Attach the Lightning cable to your phone and to a free USB port on your Mac
- 2.
On your phone, tap Trust
- 3.
If required, enter your passcode
- 4.
iTunes should launch automatically. If it does not, you will need to open it
- 5.
Click Continue
- 6.
Click Get Started
- 7.
Click Music in the Settings section
- 8.
Click Sync Music
- 9.
If you would like to choose which songs and albums you would like to add to your phone, click Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres
- 10.
Select the playlists, artists, albums and genres you wish to add to your phone
- 11.
Click Apply
- 12.
When the songs have finished transferring, click the Eject icon beside your phone’s name
- 13.
Remove the Lightning cable
