  • Notifications are small messages from apps or the operating system alerting you to new information

    Swipe down from the top of the screen

  • 2.

    Tap on a notification to open the app it pertains to

  • 3.

    To change the preferences for an application’s notifications, swipe the notification to the left

  • 4.

    Tap Manage

  • 5.

    You can choose to have the notifications for that app appear silently, or to turn notifications off entirely

    Tap Settings to go to the settings screen for that app’s notifications

  • 7.

    Notifications from some apps allow you to perform actions directly from the notification. For example, you can reply to a message directly from notifications for the Messages app. To do this, tap and hold on the notification

    Enter the text of your message and then tap the Send icon

  • 9.

    To delete a notification, swipe it all the way to the left

  • 10.

    To delete all notifications, tap the X icon

  • 11.

    Tap Clear
