    From the home screen, tap Settings

    Scroll down and tap Face ID & Passcode

    Scroll down and tap Turn Passcode On

    Enter a passcode

  • 5.

    Re-enter the passcode

  • 6.

    Enter the password for your Apple ID and then tap Continue

  • 7.

    To lock the phone, press the Side Button

  • 8.

    To unlock the phone, press the Side Button

    Swipe up from the bottom of the screen

  • 10.

    Enter your passcode
