  • 1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake Button to turn the phone on
  • 2. Press the Home Button
  • 3. Tap your desired language
  • 4. Select your country or region
  • 5. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to
  • 6. If required, enter the network’s password and then tap Join
  • 7. Tap Enable Location Services
  • 8. You can use your fingerprints to secure your phone and make purchases. To set up your fingerprint, place a finger or thumb on the Home Button
  • 9. Continue to lift and replace your finger on the Home Button until the entire fingerprint is filled in
  • 10. Tap Continue
  • 11. Adjust your grip and then place the same finger or thumb on the Home Button until the entire fingerprint is filled in
  • 12. Tap Continue
  • 13. Enter a passcode. This will be used in the event that Touch ID can’t verify your fingerprint or additional verification is required
  • 14. Re-enter the passcode
  • 15. Select if you would like to restore data from a different phone or account. In this example, we will select Set Up as New iPhone
  • 16. Tap the Apple ID field
  • 17. Enter your Apple ID and then tap Return
  • 18. Enter your password and then tap Return
  • 19. Tap Agree
  • 20. Tap Next
  • 21. If you would like to set up Apple Pay, place your credit or debit card so that the outline surrounds it. Otherwise tap Set Up Later in Wallet
  • 22. If you would like to store passwords and credit card details in iCloud Keychain, tap Continue. Otherwise tap Donʼt Restore Passwords
  • 23. Tap Continue
  • 24. If you would like to activate Siri, tap Set Up Siri
  • 25. Say Hey Siri
  • 26. Repeat this four more times until the Siri set up is complete and then tap Continue
  • 27. Select whether or not you would like to send diagnostic information to Apple. We will select Don’t Send
  • 28. You can customize the strength of the home button. To do this tap Get Started
  • 29. Tap the strength you would like to use
  • 30. Press the Home Button to test the strength
  • 31. When you have set your desired strength, tap Next
  • 32. Tap Choose a View
  • 33. Select the zoom view you would like to use. In this example, we will use Standard
  • 34. Tap Next
  • 35. Tap Get Started
