  • These steps demonstrate how to transfer music to your iPhone from a Mac running MacOS Catalina (Version 10.15 or later). You can discover which version of MacOS your computer is running by clicking the Apple icon in the Menu Bar and then selecting About This Mac

  • 1.

    Attach the Lightning cable to your phone and to a free USB port on your Mac

  • 2.

    On your phone, tap Trust

  • 3.

    If required, enter your passcode

  • 4.

    On your Mac, in the sidebar of a Finder window, click on your phone’s name

  • 5.

    Click Trust

  • 6.

    Click Get Started

  • 7.

    Click Music

  • 8.

    Click Sync Music onto iPhone

  • 9. If you would like to sync your entire music library to your phone, make sure Entire Music Library is selected
  • 10.

    Click Apply

  • 11. To only sync selected parts of your music library, click Selected artists, albums, genres, and playlists
  • 12. Select the music you would like to sync with your phone
  • 13.

    Click Apply

  • 14.

    When the songs have finished syncing, click the Eject icon beside the phone’s name

  • 15.

    Remove the Lightning cable
