  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Lock Screen
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap PIN
  • 6. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 7. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 8. Select your lock screen notification preferences and then tap Done
  • 9. Tap Smart Lock
  • 10. Tap Got It
  • 11. Tap Trusted Places
  • 12. Tap the location you wish to set as a trusted location. The Home and Work locations will be determined by Google Maps
  • 13. Tap Turn on this location
  • 14. Tap OK
  • 15. To add a trusted location, tap Add Trusted Place
  • 16. Tap the Search icon
  • 17. Enter the address you wish to add and then tap the Search icon
  • 18. Tap the address to set it as a trusted location
  • 19. Tap OK
  • 20. As long as the phone remains within 80 metres of a trusted location, it will remain unlocked
  • 21. If you wish to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 22. Tap the Lock icon
  • 23. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 24. Swipe the lock icon upwards
  • 25. Enter the PIN and then tap the check mark
