  • 1. From the home screen, tap Settings
  • 2. Tap More…
  • 3. Tap Tethering & Portable Hotspot
  • 4. Tap Set Up Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • 5. Tap Network SSID
  • 6. Enter a name for the network. This is the name that other devices will see when searching for Wi-Fi networks
  • 7. Tap the drop-down menu under Security
  • 8. Tap your desired security setting. In this example we will select WPA2 PSK
  • 9. Tap Password
  • 10. Enter a password for the network. This is the password that will need to be entered on other devices for them to be able to connect to the network
  • 11. Tap Save
  • 12. Tap Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. This will turn Wi-Fi on your phone off
  • 13. To deactivate a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, swipe down from the top of the screen
  • 14. Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot
