  • 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers
  • 2. Tap the Settings icon
  • 3. Scroll down and tap Lock Screen
  • 4. Tap Screen Lock
  • 5. Tap PIN
  • 6. If you would like a PIN to be required when your device restarts, tap Require PIN to start device
  • 7. Tap Continue
  • 8. Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
  • 9. Re-enter the PIN and then tap OK
  • 10. Select your lock screen notification preferences and then tap Done
  • 11. Tap Smart Lock
  • 12. Tap Got It
  • 13. Tap Trusted Devices
  • 14. Tap Add Trusted Device
  • 15. You can use either Bluetooth or NFC. In this example, we will select Bluetooth
  • 16. Tap the device you wish to use. The device must be turned on and connected
  • 17. Tap Yes, Add
  • 18. Your phone will remain unlocked as long as it remains connected to the device
  • 19. If you wish to manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 20. Tap the Lock icon
  • 21. To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
  • 22. Swipe the lock icon upwards
  • 23. Enter your PIN
