Using Trusted Places to Unlock Your Phone

Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers

Tap the Settings icon

Scroll down and tap Lock Screen
If you have already set up a PIN, you can skip to step 10

Tap Screen Lock
- 5.
Tap your desired unlock method. In this example, we will select PIN
- 6.
Select whether you would like a PIN to be required when the device is turned on
- 7.
Enter a PIN and then tap Continue
- 8.
Re-enter your PIN and then tap OK
- 9.
Select your lock screen notification preference and then tap Done
- 10.
Tap Smart Lock
- 11.
Enter your PIN and then tap the arrow in the keypad
- 12.
Tap Got It
- 13.
Tap Trusted Places
- 14.
Tap the location you wish to set as a trusted location. The Home and Work locations will be determined by Google Maps.

Tap Turn on this location
- 16.
Tap OK
- 17.
To add a trusted location, tap Add Trusted Place
- 18.
Tap Search
- 19.
Enter the address you wish to add and then tap the address in the displayed list
- 20.
Tap Select to add the address to set it as a trusted location
- 21.
Tap OK
- 22.
As long as the phone remains within 80 metres of a trusted location, it will remain unlocked
- 23.
To manually lock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 24.
Tap the Lock icon
- 25.
To unlock the phone, press the Power/Lock Key
- 26.
Swipe the screen upwards
- 27.
Enter your PIN and then tap the check mark
